Nestled in the hills among old citrus groves, burgeoning pine trees, and a nature reserve is the Highlands Reserve Golf Course. The scenic layout of this par 72 championship course traverses over 120 feet of elevation change. Constructed in 1998, Highlands Reserve boasts large undulating greens that place a premium on shot making. As you make your way through the course you will encounter a combination of pine tree lined fairways reminiscent of North Carolina and open spaces that remind players of the land where golf was created. Welcome to Highlands Reserve Golf Club.

Highlands Reserve measures 6,673 yards and carries a course/slope rating of 72.1/118. The golds play 6,010 yards at 68.8/115, and the jades play 4,875 yards at 67.4/107.

Other features include: unrestricted walking, a junior's program and several annual Amateur Playing Tour and Senior Moonlight and Pro-am events. It does not, however, offer an opulent clubhouse, grand entrance or private membership.

"Sure, the first vision the name Orlando conjures is of a giant, smiling rodent with oversize ears, floppy shoes and a falsetto voice. He towers over this central Florida burg, which really is like Las Vegas - minus the card, roulette and craps tables. But look past the tinsel and you can find a golfing oasis."
